Farm Sanctuary

Farm Sanctuary is the nation’s largest farm animal rescue organization. With locations in Los Angeles, Orland, CA and Watkins Glen, NY, Farm Sanctuary lets visitors come and build connections with farm animals that have been rescued from the abuse in factory farms and live markets. They also focus on vegan outreach and advocacy, hosting several charity events per year including ‘Hug a Farm Animal Day’ and Farm Sanctuary’s Celebration for the Turkeys on Thanksgiving. Their website also features Vegan Starter Guides and information on the cruelty that goes on in the meat industry.

Mercy For Animals

MFA is an organization focused on being a voice for animals in legal advocacy, consumer education, organized outreach and undercover cruelty investigations. They have won Nonprofit of the Year twice for VegNews magazine, and are currently one of the most effective animal rights organizations in the world.

We Animals

We Animals is s photo project (and book) that depicts animals in a human environment. Revealing so much about the the nature of animal exploitation through striking photos and shocking stories, We Animals attempts to ‘break down the barriers’ that humanity has built between ourselves and our fellow earthlings.

T. Colin Campbell Center for Nutrition Studies
Dr. T. Colin Campbell is the head of the Nutritive Sciences dept. at Cornell University. Forks Over Knives, a celebrated documentary that shows the benefits of a Vegan diet, was based on his studies. Dr. Campbell’s books, The China Study and Whole, are the most well researched, thorough, and scientifically accurate nutritional guides available.

Physician’s Committee for Responsible Medicine (PCRM)

The PCRM is a Nonprofit Organization with a network of over 150,000 health care professionals and concerned citizens that promote preventative medicine, encourage higher standards for ethics in scientific research, and influence advancements in medicine and science. The President of the PCRM, Dr. Neal Barnard, works alongside an advisory board of 18 health care professionals with various specialties.
